The Sanctuary of Hekate Soteira is a (physical) sanctuary dedicated to the Goddess Hekate in all Her many forms and by all Her many names - we meet in Glastonbury, United Kingdom.

The Goddess Hekate is a Goddess like no other - and today more than ever people around the world are drawn to Her. I founded the Covenant of Hekate in 2010, with other devotees who contributed to the Hekate: Her Sacred Fires anthology, to be a network of people interested in this Goddess. This Sanctuary was one of the first to be formed, and continues to offer a devotional space for those interested in Hekate - as well as a meeting space for likeminded individuals.

Note: The Sanctuary of Hekate Soteira is a physical sanctuary - our meetings take place indoors and outdoors in (and sometimes around) Glastonbury, Somerset, UK. We do occasionally offer online events too, if that interests you, please join my mailinglist.

What to Expect
Our Sanctuary meetings usually follow a particular running order - and while aspects of our ceremonies are formal, there are also space for personal expressions of devotion. Meetings are focussed on devotion, and may include aspects of divination, votive petitions and oracular practices.

We usually gather and have a cup of tea in the time before the ceremony is scheduled to begin, this may sometimes include a short discussion or introduction to a particular practice or aspect of the Goddess. We then enter the sanctuary space undertaking simple ritual purification (usually with sacred water, incense and perfumes), after which we will offer hymns and prayers to the goddess, alone with offerings. We will also participate in other practices, relevant to the season, phase of the Moon or the particular needs of those present (as is appropriate).

Ritual Spaces
Our meetings are held in a private home in Glastonbury - where we use either an indoor space or an outdoor space under a 300 + year Oak Tree. On occasion, and usually for larger fair weather meetings, we will meet in the apple circle known as the Moon Circle of the Pomona Project.​

If you live near Glastonbury, or are able to travel here for our meetings, you are encouraged to request membership to the Facebook Group. Please note that this group is ONLY for those who are able to attend meetings in Glastonbury, and that those who don't attend at least once a year will be removed from the list. For some meetings spaces are limited. (It is not a discussion group)
